Hello!
I'm Vanessa, a wife, mum to 5 adult children and Nanna to 2 teenagers.
We all live in the lovely county of Warwickshire, apart from our youngest daughter, who is a law apprentice in London. My home studio is nestled along a rural lane in Leamington Spa and I love welcoming people to join me for creative fun and experiences.
A bit about me
I am a Certified Decorative Artist and Mixed Media Tutor. My tools of the trade are acrylic paints and a universal medium (fabric hardener), together with complementary products to create clay, stone and crackle effects.
Many of the pieces I make, and use in workshops, are from recycled materials. Although my impact on landfill may only be minimal, if we all do our bit our world will better off for the next generations. Plus, there's nothing more satisfying than giving potential rubbish a second chance and turning it into something beautiful and unique.
I love teaching people how to create amazing projects using these mediums and I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and creative skills with you from my home studio and other venues in Warwickshire.
Join me at one of my scheduled workshops, or on a Thursday evening and let's take some time out to create together. You will be made most welcome and put at ease as I take you through your project step by step. 😊
