Feeling the Powertex Love

Back in November 2023 Powertex UK, now headed up by the lovely Michele Brewer, organised a 2-day Conference and Christmas Party for all the Certified Tutors. 

It was a wonderful event where tutors got to meet each other face to face. Many of us had only really 'met' on social media so it was great to put faces to names. We also got to craft together, bounce ideas off each other and rounded it all up with a Christmas party. 

What a FAB-U-LOUS event!

Being creative with others adds another dimension, and the Christmas event inspired us and reminded us why we love Powertex and, more importantly, why we love sharing our passion for it with you through workshops, tutorials and craft fairs. 

This is exactly what I want to do for you throughout 2024 - whether that's face to face in my studio, via Zoom, or pre-recorded tutorials I want to inspire you to get those creative juices flowing. Let's do it! Together. 

Tomorrow (01 Jan 2024) a short video on how to Powertex plastic will be available on my YouTube channel. It's less than 10 minutes long and just gives you a taste of what you can do. Click here to go to my channel and while you're there it would be fab if you hit the subscribe button - I will be adding more short videos as and when I can. 

Although plastic is one of the few (if not only) surface that Powertex will not stick to, it is still possible and means we can recycle, upcycle and reuse some of the plastic items that continue to be part of our lives. Plastic is not at all great for our environment and normally ends up in our oceans or landfills (yes even with all the recycling we do) , neither of which are acceptable so let's make useful, beautiful or quirky items from them.

... to this (or something similar) by using Powertex and various fabrics and textures. These will all be used in my studio as water pots or brush/tool holders.
