Selection of Powertex sculptures

Let's get creative!

One of the things I managed to achieve last year was being trained to become a Powertex Certified Tutor in both fabric and 3D flex.  If you have never heard of Powertex you may be wondering what on earth it is!

I don’t see the point in trying to re-invent the wheel so the following (taken from the Powertex UK site) gives a better explanation than I probably could.

“Powertex is the environmentally friendly, water-based textile hardener which can harden absorbent materials such as textiles, fabric, cloth, paper, cardboard, fabrics, leather and fiberglass. Powertex can be easily combined with self-hardening clays, concrete, stone, ceramic, wood, sand and Stone Art. Powertex is used for making sculptures, paintings, decorative objects and jewellery.”

So that’s the product, and now I’m trained in it, I can deliver workshops in Fabric Sculpting and 3D Flex.   You will be amazed at the huge variety of textures that can be obtained and if you let your imagination fly I can teach you how to produce some fabulous pieces!

I’m very excited that  workshops can finally begin again, hoorah!   The first one will be on Saturday 18th September with the finer details to come soon.  I will let everyone know via my   Newsletter in the first instance so, if you haven’t already, sign up so that you’re one of the first to hear any news.

Do follow me on my social media platforms too as workshop information will also be posted there – as well as what I am, or have been up to 🙂
