  • ‘Tas been a while as my family needs are priority right now. But, never fear, the paintbrushes are still in use. I’ve been working on a border on this frame, not quite finished yet but thought you’d like to see what I’m up to when I get chance. All @decoart Americana paints, Black Green background and Glorious Gold.   • I’m working on unfinished projects at the moment in between family priorities, which have changed unexpectedly and quite quickly. Don’t worry though, no divorces, demises or surprise births (heaven forbid at my age!🤣) but needs must so - until I can get back on track with the business of workshops I’ll post what I am getting up to and work on ideas of my own. This little beauty is a Nancy Scott CDA design called ‘Waiting for Spring’. Painting and creativity is more than just pretty designs and clever techniques to me - though these are of course important! It helps to evaporate the day’s (sometimes crappy) stresses and strains. It helps restore some calm and inner peace which gives you the strength to face whatever’s coming next.   • There were more bunnies being decorated but they didn’t want photos until they’d finished (so next week). Look at all the amazing Easter bonnets though! A lot of our regulars are beautiful people who need the extra help of support workers, and a large group join us from Deaf-initely Independent - needless to say neither myself or Connie know sign language so there have been some giggles along the way trying to understand each other, but obviously their support workers help us too 😉 Anyway a good time was had by all and it’s just wonderful to open up arts and crafts to those who would find it difficult to join a mainstream group.
