You just have to love a Rose…

…and a daisy too!

These were the flowers used to teach the ‘comma stroke’ to the lovely people attending our recent workshop at LOTT Bazaar in Royal Leamington Spa.

Some had never attempted Folk Art style painting before so it was a little challenging but everyone worked really hard and the end results speak for themselves.

A brief outline of what we would be doing during the evening.

Heads down deep in concentration as they practice the brushstroke.

Fabulous results from everyone!  One very happy group of people 🙂

The Roses and Daisy wreath workshop will run again at the Church Centre in Claverdon on Friday 20th March, 10:00am-12:00pm.  Bookings will go ‘live’ next week so stay tuned.

Our next workshop at LOTT Bazaar will be on Tuesday 10th March when we will be doing some dotty designs on terracotta plant pots.

WI Dotty Challenge

Dot Roses on Heart shape.

Last week saw my first Speaker engagement for the Warwickshire WI (Women’s Institute) of the year.

The local Long Itchington Branch was attended by over 50 ladies and, following their formal meeting, I was delighted to be able to introduce them to Folk It!

Demonstrating the dotting technique to create hearts and roses, the ladies soon got to grips with the technique and produced some very pretty pieces.  On hearing lots of laughter I knew lots of fun was being had.  Add to that some wonderful feedback and the evening was complete.

Would you like a demonstration with member participation at one of your own events or meetings?  To find out more just send an email to thearcshed@gmail.com with your information, date(s) and location and I’ll get back to you with the details.

Have a great week ahead!

Vanessa 😊
